I have been getting the Ouidad Carve and Slice for 7 years now. I have had two excellent stylists during this time. I have been traveling two hours one way for the past 3 years to see my stylist. In searching for one closer to home, I discovered Maria at The JW Salon, in St. Augustine, FL. I was somewhat hesitant to try someone new, but Maria was only a 20 minute drive so I decided to make an appt. with her. During my time of getting the Carve & Slice, I had one very bad experience with a certified stylist. So, I was definitely critiquing the Salon and Maria from the moment I walked in. However, I soon realized my hair was in very competent hands. Maria is an excellent Ouidad stylist and she did a wonderful job on my very curly hair. She finished with the Rake and Shake. I knew the real test would come when I washed and styled my hair at home. Once again, I realized how good Maria is at what she does. My hair looks great and I only have the highest praise for Maria. Also, I love the salon itself. The décor is beautiful and it is obvious a lot of care and attention went into the development of the salon. Maria called me today to ask if I was happy with my hair after seeing her. I told her absolutely and that she will never get rid of me!!!!! I have already told many about my positive experience, both with Maria and the salon. Another plus is I no longer have to drive 2 hours one way!!

I can’t say enough about Maria at the JW Salon in St Augustine, FL. I have curly hair with a lot of frizz. I have been fighting it all my life, but living in Fl by the Beach is a constant battle. There are days when I literally did not want to go outside because it was too humid and I knew I’d look like a clown in no time. Fortunately after trial and lots of error I found Maria. She gave me the Ouidaf cut and taught me the rake and shake technique and introduced me to the anti frizz line of products. For the first time in my life I actually LOVE my hair. I get stopped all the time by women who ask where I get my hair done and if my curls are real! Maria has changed my life. I go outside and can enjoy any weather conditions! Thanks Maria.

Maria at the JW Salon was amazing! Not only did she take the time to give me a meticulous haircut, but she also instructed me the entire time about proper techniques for my specific type of curl. This was my first Ouidad haircut and I now understand the rave reviews. I will most definitely be back to see Maria for my haircare needs!
