Working for Ouidad is a dream come true for Anila after she read about the Queen of Curl in numerous magazines before landing the job. As Ouidad's right hand for several years, Anila has waved her magic "curl wand" at editorial and advertising shoots and for such trendsetting stars as Sophia Bush, Kristin Chenowith,Jennifer Harrison Newmanand for the Broadway play In the Heights. A true master of Ouidad's Carving and Slicing technique, Anila is also expert at providing permanent curls for those not naturally blessed with wavy locks. She loves expressing her creativity through her work and the results speak for themselves!

Ayanna has 14 years of cut, color and education experience at Ouidad. Her work has been featured in well-known media venues such as the Daily News, Fox News, and the Today Show and including a hair makeover segment on Live with Regis and Kelly. Her editorial accomplishments include multiple Modern Salon shoots including last season's cover about texture. Ayanna has also styled for NY Fashion Week including the Tara Subkoff and Timo Weiland shows and Broadway's In The Heights cast.

Cypriano joined the Ouidad family as the Color Director and Curl Specialist to work his ‘magic'.
Cypriano is a gifted stylist, with over 15 years of international experience. He has a true talent for color, especially with curls, and his technique has earned him recognition and prestige from his clients. He has cut and colored his way across the U.S. and Europe and has been a platform artist at the International Beauty Show since 1991.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Elena realized her passion for beauty at a young age. At the age of 19 she received her cosmetology license at Paul Mitchell, The School cosmetology school. Within the first three years of her career she worked at two prestigious salons in Beverly Hills, California, Giuseppe Franco and Umberto. Striving to take career to the next level she decided to move to New York where she set her goal for the city's top celebrity salon for color, Rita Hazan. During her five years at Rita Hazan she has worked with frequent clients such as Jennifer Lopez, Thalia, and Jessica Simpson to name of few but the list goes on. Elena's signature style is known for captivating individual natural beauty and enhancing it with sexy and sophisticated style. Blondes, reds, and brunettes can all use Elena's classy yet fashionable touch to advance their personal style.

Inspired by the color tones of the southwestern desert and the beaches of northern California, Ian loves to paint and color all textures of hair using the artistry of balayage and dimensional color. Ian sees each client as a unique canvas with the opportunity to create a customized plan for each client's hair and personal style needs. Ian understands that curls can make color come alive. Ian's Philosophy
As the Ouidad Creative Color Director, Ian believes in the importance of consultation and maintaining the integrity of the hair. Each client's lifestyle and routine are key ingredients in creating the best look possible. Seasonal changes are a great time of year for clients to slip into something new, never letting their color become routine or boring.
Ian on Education
Ian shares his extensive knowledge of color at Ouidad by leading them in house color education program; shaping apprentices into color experts and enhancing the skills of current stylists. A strong believer in continuing education himself, Ian is also currently enrolled in various courses outside the salon with leading professional s in order to bring you the latest tips and techniques in the world of color.
Beyond the salon Ian brings his creativity to the fashion world. His color work has appeared in editorial shoots in W, A magazine, German Vogue and the New York Times as well as look books for the jeweler Pamela Love.

When Jason Hallman transplanted from his native hometown of Philadelphia, he did not know where his destiny lied; He left with all the ambition and determination to become who he is today. With extensive classroom and hands-on training, Jason ventured off to New York City to follow his dream of being a renowned hair stylist. He worked in a few hair salons and acquired an extensive clientele; the word got out that Jason was an exceptional stylist.

For Jason it is not just about styling hair, but about creating a whole experience for his clients. He says being a great hair stylist is about developing a real relationship with his patrons; learning about whom they are and the image they want to convey to the world. Jason's greatest joy as a hair stylist is bringing a smile to his client's face. Making his customers feel amazing is the reason for which he has been so successful. Jason knows it is an incredible privilege to do what he does. With his Ouidad training and past styling experience, Jason provides the quintessential combination to modernize the curl revolution!

Jessica loves the diversity of her clientele and is dedicated to the integrity and art of hairdressing. While in her chair, you will be guided through a detailed consultation creating a customized look for your specific hair needs. While performing Ouidad's Carve & Slice technique, Jessica doctors each individual curl that needs her attention with a soothing energy. She enjoys making clients feel and look great.

Her specialties include creative styling and updos, especially for Bridal parties and special occasions. If it's length and movement that you are craving, come in for an extension consultation. Jessica has worked with keratin bonds, tape –ins, braided hair extensions and sew-in wefts. She understands that we all have different hair types and patterns and her approach to every hair type can require different techniques.

Jessica is always looking to be involved and inspired. Recently she styled at events such as Autism for KIDS, New York Fashion Week and The Nate Berkus Show.

Melissa has been doing curls the Ouidad way for several years, fulfilling her passion for hair styling. Her experience includes tending to the tresses of celebrities such as Minnie Driver and Noelia, lending a hand to Ouidad on the set of HSN and shows such as Good Day New York, and working backstage at various fashion shows and Broadway shows such as In the Heights. Melissa works out of the Ouidad New York Salon specializing in color and softening.

Mirsada has been with the Ouidad family for the past three years. As Ouidad's head assistant she was able to do all the color and styling Ouidad's clients needed and was on-the-go with the Queen of Curl assisting her with photo shoots and TV appearances. For the past year she has been a Color and Curl Specialist. She is highly creative and has quickly become ‘in demand' with a loyal clientele. She is passionate about helping clients embrace their curls by enhancing them with a great Carve and Slice haircut and teaching them how to care for their curls at home.

With more than 20 years of experience, Vincent truly understands curls. In fact, he counts his "ability to recognize the hair's "true nature" as the key to unlocking each client's unique style. His many years of experience combined with his mastery of Ouidad's "carving and slicing" technique have opened the door to a new realm of creativity that his clients love. And, among those clients are Monica Seles and Liza Minnelli, as well as numerous Broadways producers and stars, including cast members of In the Heights. Vincent also wields his scissors for editorial and advertising shoots and is the touring stylist for the rock band, "Thundering Road."

One of the things Virginia loves most about her work is her ability to "free clients from their stresses with caring for their tresses." In the many years she has worked at the Ouidad Salon she has made it her mission to teach her clients how to handle their curly hair so they can love it as much as she does -- a passion she learned from Ouidad herself. Today, she helps manage the tress-factor for such curly-haired stars as Law & Order's Berenice Mosca and Tamara Tuni,MAD TV's Christa Flanagan,Broadway's In the Heights cast members, as well as working on many advertising and editorial shoots.
