Mediterranean Bay Leaf Hair & Scalp treatment Ouidad, catering to the curly-haired, recently debuted a hair and scalp treatment designed to stimulate hair growth, stave off hair breakage and loss, and rid curls of dullness and dehydration. Lebanese bay leaf oil--blended with a natural exfoliant in a base of amino acids--is infused into strands after a deep scalp massage. The treatment is left on for 15 minutes to make sure the oil has penetrated to the root. After rinsing, hair is left lustrous.

Haircuts of The Year "Keep your curls looking healthy and shiny by conditioning strands with creamy, moisturizing products.-Morgan Willhite, hairstylist 17 Layered Spirals What the pros love: "Kelly is embracing her curls" says Willhite. "I love that she's letting her hair be big, soft and full." Who it works for: The cut is not so much about face shape- it's about attitude. "It's edgy and free-spirited," says Willhite. Maintenance: Low. Willhite says the upkeep is fairy simple. If you have naturally curly hair, you can trim the layers every two to three months, she says. 18 Close Crop What the pros love: "This is a confident, no fuss cut," says Morgan Willhite. "It's like a pixie cut for curly hair." Who it works for: "Your entire face is exposed, so you need to be comfortable with all aspects of it," says Willhite. Tapering around the sides slims a wider face; keeping it long on top helps elongate. Maintenance: Medium. It may not require much styling time, but "when hair is this short you see regrowth right away," says Denine Smith. "You can line up the sides every two weeks and cut hair every four." 20 Long Layered Locks What the pros love: "The sexy grown-out bands are very Brigitt Bardot," says NYC stylist Kattia Solano. Willhite likes the "soft, airy layers." Who it works for: It can flatter most face shapes, says Willhite, but it might be a lot of work to style (either straight, wavy or with barrel curls) on coarse or curly hair. Maintenance: High. Cut bangs at least every 4 weeks. The length and layers can go 8 to 12 she says. -Morgan Willhite is the lead stylist at the Ouidad Salonin Santa Monica, CA
