What are your favorite product combinations?

My favorite product combination is Moisture Lock and Styling Mist. It helps give hair that beach look. You should apply Moisture Lock in sections using the Rake and Shake technique then scrunch your hair with a towel. Then, spray with styling mist all over.

Why is curly hair easier to work with than straight hair?

I find curly hair is a lot easier to work with than straight hair because it’s already styled for you. As long as you have a good product and great cut, the possibilities are endless. Once you set your curls using the Rake and Shake technique, you can decide if you want to shake it out and have big fun curly hair or just leave it alone for a natural and looser look.

What is the best advice to a client?

My best advice for my clients is to keep your hair as healthy as possible. Make sure to do the deep treatments and sleep with your hair up on top of your head. Also, only use a wide tooth comb for detangling and stay away from a flat iron!

What are the next hair trends?

I think the next hair trend is darker color and more natural textured hair. I feel that we are getting out of what I call the “hot days” of hair. All of the hot tools, straighteners, extensions and colors way beyond our natural tones are out of date. Because of the “hot days” era, we now have a lot of hair breakage and very damaged hair. People have to stop! Because of the focus on healthier hair, we will see shorter, darker and more natural looks.
