This is a highly effective comb on my classically curly hair which knots easily. However, I only gave it 3 stars due to ergonomics it is needlessly heavy, and the handle is awkward. I think they could easily use the same design in a lighter plastic with an ergonomically shaped handle. But it does work!
Just from one use I can tell this comb will change my hair forever. It not only helped me get rid of the knots I had before but it also goes through my hair without messing up my curls or causing frizz. I absolutely love it and will be using it all the time! Thank you Ouidad!
A must have for anyone with curly hair! I have never had any brush be able to go straight through my hair and this one can! And it doesnt even hurt!!!
I am still learning to manage the weight of the product, but detangling has been much easier, tearless and painless for both. Several family members have seen it and tried it and loved it.
This is an insanely great comb! My 10 year old daughter has put up with me raking her hair with my fingers or one of my many 'horse' combs for years and has taken to calling me 'Sweeney Mom' for she says I'm into torturing her. I was taken aback by the size and weight of the comb at first but one swipe through her hair after applying Botanical Boost and we were both won over by this double toothed monster! It's like having an extra set of fingers and I now I can say...At last! My arm is complete!
I have to admit, when I opened the box I was shocked by the size of this comb. It is large....but it definitely does the job!! I tried it on dry hair and couldn't believe my eyes. I have never been able to get any comb through my hair when it is dry. This thing not only cut through my hair, it didn't frizz up. The big test was using it after I washed my hair. Four combs through and any tangle that was in my hair was gone! Seriously, this is God's gift to curls!! Thanks Ouidad!
Love this!!! It has also cut my styling time in half, and with a baby on the way, perfect timing!!! I always had problems doing the rake and shake w only my fingers, but this makes it so easy- takes the guesswork out of styling- I'm obsessed w it!
This comb doubles as a brush when my hair is dry and makes styling much faster plus no hair is left hidden in the bristles!. I like the rake effect too...great for my long, layered, thick, naturally curly hair.I am happy to have bought this comb, especially after reading the reviews submitted. The comb is not weighty but sturdy.
This comb was not much better than the original comb offered here, and I found it to be too heavy to use comfortably.
Fabulous! I tried it first on dry hair......my husband was laughing because I just couldn't quit -- it felt so good!! Now I use it in the shower....I put my conditioner on, wait a couple of minutes, then comb out any tangles. Magic!!
Even though the comb is weighty, it detangles my long curly hair in half the time. Love it!
One of the Best products Ouidad has!!!! It has cut my styling time in half. I put my moisture lock in then my gel, comb through. I no longer have to rake and shake my hair...........Worth evey penny!!!!!!
I am VERY impressed with this product. I have very kinky, type 4ab hair, and it can be hard to detangle even with deep conditioning and my Moisture Lock. This doesn't glide through but it certainly gets through the hair quickly and efficiently. My detangling time really has been cut down significantly, and I find that I have less knots when I go through my hair. EXCELLENT product!
I can't believe how easy it was to get this comb through my disgusting, knotty hair. I can't stop brushing my hair - it feels like fingers massaging your head if you brush close to your scalp. Ouidad has outdone herself with this brilliant invention
Outstanding, looked heavy but is a good weight making it glide.
I'm shocked as to how easy it works, it cut my time in half. I put gel in the hair then I used the comb to style with instead of the rake & shake method and it worked beautifully, it made the hair soft curls and wavy. I love it!!!
It feels so gentle, not ripping out hair. I like that it's so weighty, it's like a comb brush. It detangles easy, doesn't pull my hair. The weight of it lets you detangle your hair organically as opposed to ripping out the knot.
Depending on the curliness of the hair, the Double Detangler can be used to detangle when the hair is dry. Occasions that you would detangle dry hair is before a treatment or process is applied to the hair to ensure thorough and even application. One could also use before a shower to help the hair have less stress during shampooing or conditioning since it has already been detangled.
