Fall Hair Color Trends for Your Curls

Fall is here and that bronzy golden glow and shimmery ombre aren’t what they used to be. Here are a few fall color trends we’re loving right now!

Golden Gloss
Tone down that super blonde into a honey-wheat, golden glow. A warm gloss over a washed-out ombre or balayage is a perfect way to deepen and transform summer hair into a chic fall look. Bringing the highlights to lowlights offers the same dimensional color, but shows off texture and definition with a high gloss shine.

I am in love with Coppers right now. Bringing the warmth back into curly hair creates real depth. Curly hair loses reflection from light because of the uneven surface. Using a deeper level of red or copper will help the hair gain more shine and dimension. Rich tones create accents throughout the movement of the curls.

Chestnuts and Mahoganies
Adding a warm brown color to faded summer hair will help fill the curls – making them look and feel more supple. It also helps with frizz and allows the light to shine through the hair, making it feel its most rich and luxurious.

The Next Generation of Ombre

My clients love graduated color or ombre, which I have taken to the next level through color blending.

Instead of having a clear line of dark to light, I blend the lighter pieces within the depths of the hair so there is no point of origin. You have a beautiful gradual effect with an updated technique.

For my clients who are a single process, you can never go wrong with face framing highlights. They can soften a look and compliment facial features.

Being inspired by 1920’s  and 60’s fashion, I see a comeback to hair accessories. Particularly headbands placed across the forehead and floral adornments.

Want to really turn heads? Combine my graduated color blending technique with an innovative loose side braid or tussled up do.

It is not always about cutting your hair to change your style. Color can take your look to a new level. I always find the seasonal changes the perfect time to update my color clients looks.
