I am so excited it is finally Spring! The birds are chirping, the weather is warming up, the flowers are blooming and it’s time to spruce up my hair!! So I am rocking some extensions for a little while and I am excited to play with the additional hair. The cool thing is, I have still been using my Ouidad products even though my hair is straight. I clearly I still need my Climate Control! It’s been raining a lot lately and the humidity is ugghh, way too much for it to be so early in the season. So thanks to Ouidad, I can use their products on not just my curly hair, but also my straight hair and extensions.

I want to share some of my summer styles I am loving right now:

Day 1: Don’t you just love fishtail braids?? I have been wanting to try one for so long. I practiced on my hair a couple of times. Hopefully, I can make it happen.

Day 2: Braided Crown. Okay, I’m obsessed with braided styles as you can see. You can do them with curly, wavy, or straight hair.

Day 3: Side ponytail with a side part! So simple and chic and it’s not just for little girls. Rock your tresses in a low ponytail to

Day 4: High buns are so haute! I love wearing them. You really show off your face with a cute, messy high bun.

Day 5: Half up/Half down is a style I used to always do as a child but you can rock this in a grown up way for the Spring.

Spring has finally sprouted and not a moment too soon. I’ve been patiently waiting, through the cold and what  seemed like sunless months, for this season.

What have I been waiting for you might ask? Well, with these new months comes flower, showers, and new hairstyles!

There are so many great looks I’ve been itching to wear for Spring.  Something about the heat from the sun and the light breeze of the evening winds makes me long for big and bold twist outs. I’m also thrilled to give wash & go’s a go, no pun intended.

Of course, you can never go wrong with a fro hawk in Spring. And, for the rare times when I just might have my curls straightened, a nice messy top knot.

Well, I wish I was showing you what’s in my Louis Vuitton or my Chanel bag…..but it’s just my trusty Target purse!  I have a nice camel colored cross bodied bag that I bought from Target when I was out of town and the purse I had brought broke. Well the good thing is, I got a purse that I love and have been wearing it for about the past 3 months.

I HATE having dry lips, so anytime they feel a little dry, I put some of this on which happens to have natural Milk Protein and Honey in it.

2.5 oz. Botanical Boost Moisture Infusing and Refreshing Spray

I keep a sample sized Ouidad Botanical Boost on me for days when I need to spruce up my curls. This is definitely a must have for me to keep a refreshing spray on me.

bareMinerals is the EASIEST makeup to use. I love the fact that it is quick and easy. I keep a travel kabuki brush me and I am good to go.

I just recently was at a CCO where they sell several discontinued makeup from several major brands such as MAC, Bobbi Brown, etc.. I found this perfect peachy shade called “Queen Bee” which is described as a mid-tone apricot with multidimensional pearl. I feel in love and I just found it in 2011…Where was I in 2009 when this came out?

I received this from a beauty blog giveaway and I have been in love ever since.  It has a felt tip pen and is super convenient so someone who isn’t that great at eye liner.  The Eye Ink glides on so smoothly AND it stays put throughout the day. Best thing is, it’s only $5.49!

My mother always gets on me about not wearing any earrings. A lot of times I rush out the house and forget earrings…and if my mother and I are together….she will pull into the mall or somewhere and stop and buy me earrings. I get the packs of 3 or 4 earrings from Forever 21 that has various colors like black, gold, pearl and silver so that way one of them will match with my outfit. The perfect solution…

I always, always keep hair elastics (only the ones with the protective covering) at all times. I never want to be caught out in the rain, or maybe just a good hair day gone bad without them. It makes it easy and simple and I just throw my hair in a ponytail or bun.

I live in the hot Georgia sun which I love at times…but when it comes to my thick, curly hair, humidity can be the worst. Not only can’t I keep my hair straight, but if I wear my hair curly, it swells and leaves me with no definition.
