Hey everyone! I was so excited to try out Salon Metro, one of the few salons in the Seattle area that is Ouidad Certified. I had never received a Carve And Slice haircut before, and I had always been itching to get one!

I was thrilled to see that my stylist, Cindy, was a fellow curly girl! That put me at ease immediately, because I have had past trauma involving stylists that didn’t understand curly hair. This is why I used to have anxiety about getting my hair cut!

Luckily all my fears eliminated, because Cindy worked her magic and gave me a phenomenal cut and style. I was given a a luxurious 12 Minute Deep Treatment, it was definitely my favorite part of my salon visit! After years of coloring, heat damage, and chemical treatments, my curls deserved a break. I could instantly feel the difference in my hair after Cindy washed it out. It was soft, manageable, and had a gorgeous shine!

After she rinsed out the Deep Treatment, Cindy started cutting. I had a lot of crazy uneven layers, because I am a scissor-happy girl, and I love “trimming” my own hair. YIKES! Please ladies, don’t be an avid self-trimmer like myself! Get a professional to handle it.

As most of my friends, family, and fellow bloggers know, I am a fan of big hair. I love voluminous, crazy, and loud hair.

I was blessed with a head full of curls that are partly big, and party flat at my crown. I am constantly looking for the next product that makes gives my hair both definition and amazing body.
