The 3 words that best describe my cutting style are:
    Clean, Accurate, Neat

When my clients leave the salon I want them to feel:
I want them to leave the salon feeling confident to go anywhere, do anything and feel great about themselves

    My biggest inspiration is:
Achieving the look that the client is going for, I feel that listening to your clients and helping them with suggestions is a great bonding experience for you and your client, which in turn gives your client confidence in you.

My favorite things about curls is:
The different texture the curls give the hair. It is much easier to style, throw in some product, diffuse for 5 minutes and go.

The words I live by are:
Treat others how you want to be treated

What inspired you to be a hairstylist?
It was all the horrors I endured growing up. It didn't matter if it was a style, color, or up do. I always managed to walk out of salons crying. I always left thinking this is your career, how hard is it to do a good job. I started experimenting at home and then moved on to friend's hair, I realized quickly I had a passion for hair and making people feel good.

My greatest professional accolades or accomplishments are:
Having built my current client base. It is amazing how it has happened so fast for me. You start with no one then you get one person in your chair and they tell someone who tells someone else and getting referrals is the best compliment a stylist could receive.

The 3 words that best describe my cutting style are:
    Precision, Connection and Symmetry

When my clients leave the salon I want them to feel:
I want my clients to feel confident, both in the way they look and in their ability to maintain their look at home. I feel like educating my clients in styling techniques and product application are a big part of my job, the cut and color is only the beginning.

    My biggest inspiration is:
My clients. When I see someone thrilled with the look I gave them, I feel refreshed, renewed and inspired to do more

My favorite things about curls is:
My favorite thing about curls is the versatility of them. Curls are soft and flowing and graceful one minute and relaxed, laid back the next.

The words I live by are:
Honesty is the best policy. It doesn't need to be brutal honesty but people appreciate when you are up front and honest.

What inspired you to be a hairstylist?
Making people feel confident about the way they look has always been a part of who I am. To getting girlfriends ready for their dates in high school to styling my friends and family on their wedding day, doing hair is something I have always wanted to do.

My greatest professional accolades or accomplishments are:
I am so proud to be able to make a living doing something I love. My clients are my biggest accomplishments. They are some of my biggest fans and how I show case my point of view.

I am so happy i could cry! I truely believed my curls were ruined forever after a over-processing incident! Chris not only carved and sliced my curl back to life, he explained AND demonstrated how to use the products correctly. Thank You Chris! I am me again!

Anyone in the greater Detroit area interested in a Ouidad certified stylist, don't hesitate to make an appt w Krystal. She was so gentle, kind and patient while managing my daughter's fine, kinky, tighter-than-tight hair. Thank you, Krystal! My daughter loves her gorgeous curls!

I drove two hours to try the Ouidad cut - it was totally worth it!! Best haircut in my life! I really felt like Krystal understood my hair. Others have tried, but the Carve and Slice is truly the best cut for curls. Thanks so much!!

I hadn't had a Ouidad cut and style since 2004 and wasn't sure what to expect. I also thought I had lost a lot of my curl over the years. Krystal was able to show me that it wasn't that I lost curl, but I lost the ability to style the curl and bring them to life. Krystal was great! She explained everything she was doing step by step and made sure to answer all of my questions. She wanted to make sure I knew how to style my hair on my own after I left the salon. So far, so good! I am so excited to have met Krystal and to know that there is a Ouidad certified salon in my neighborhood. THANK YOU!!!
