I had my first visit at Styling Hutch about 7 months ago. Even though the drive takes over an hour, it's worth it to have a stylist that knows how to cut curly hair. Three months ago, Dee highlighted my hair and I was so pleased. The products used to highlight turned out beautifully. I loved it

Dee was very good at explaining what she was going to do and how the Ouidad cut would help with taking some of the bulk away -- I have very thick hair. She also showed me how much product to use, how to apply it to my hair and how to shape the curl -- very informative for styling myself at home.

I have been getting my hair cut at the Styling Hutch for a couple of years now. I drive one and a half hours just to get to this salon. Terri does a fantastic job! My hair always looks great now and I get compliments on it all the time. Thank you Styling Hutch for helping me to love my curly hair!

All I have to say is wow, what a difference a haircut makes. I am sold on the Ouidad haircutting method that is for sure. Terry did a terrific job on my hair. The curls are so defined and pretty now. My hair looks fabulous. Terry showed me how to care for my hair as well and what products work best on it. I highly recommend Terry!

For years I have been to many salons for a good haircut, and each time they butchered my curls. When I moved to Dallas, I looked for a good salon on Naturally Curly.com and found the Styling Hutch. Everyone was so friendly and every chair had someone with a head of curls! My stylist Terry talked with me about what I would like and made comments based on my hair type and face shape. As she cut and styled my hair she showed me how to best use the products and explained what they did. The Ouidad cut and hair products revitalized my curls and I had the most amazing haircut I have ever! Looking forward to my next visit!

After reading the reviews on this Ouidad certified salon as there were no Ouidad salon services in Houston at the time, I traveled the 4 hrs from Houston to Dallas for a color, highlight, and Ouidad cut. I was impressed and extremely satisfied with the color and cut experience of my stylist, Dee. Her 20 years of experience finally gave me the color match to my natural that Ive been searching for through many high priced salons and she was extremely comfortable jumping right into my long, thick, curly locks and for the Ouidad cut. For the first time in my life, I no longer blow dry my hair on a daily basis, I leave it curly and love it! Very refreshing and most liberating in the Texas humidity. Looking forward to my next visit.

One afternoon I was walking in the mall and I saw a lady with beautiful curly hair - I wished that I could get my hair to look like that! So I asked her if it was natural and what product was she using. She told me about The Styling Hutch and the Ouidad products. I made an appointment for that very week!!It was wonderful to learn how to style my curls the right way to have them look defined and not frizzy and wild! It really was nice to have someone work on my hair that truly understood how to cut and style it! I love the gel - it works great! Especially in Dallas summers. I recommend the products and the salon to anyone I meet with curly hair.

I've been going to Terry for a little over a year now. I've had curly hair all my life and the Ouidad cut is the best thing I've ever done. It really takes the weight out of my hair without making my hair frizzy like other stylists do when they cut it. My first experience I left with the best styled curly hair I've ever had. No one knows how to style curly hair, but this place does! I highly recommend it.

I've seen Karen twice. First cut was just a trim with application training with Quidad products, second was a Ouidad cut. I have to say just the products with the right application made a huge difference in my hair - wouldn't go back to anything else. If my hair is a bit fuzzy - it's because I'm not using enough product. I've never had the product flake either no matter how much I use. The 2nd time was with the Ouidad cut - and I have to say the cut also makes a big difference - I don't have to use as much conditioner or gel. Karen does a great job of explaining everything she is doing and how to apply products. If you aren't sure - just go visit the salon - you will see every chair filled w a head of gorgeous curly hair. And everyone walks out with smiles too. I wouldn't take my hair anywhere else - even though there's another certified salon 2 miles from my house. I don't get the same vibe from anywhere else. They really do specialize in curly.

I have been a fan of Ouidad for 10 years or more. I found this salon through Ouidad's website and have had an amazing experience ever since. Claudia is amazing at both cutting and coloring. I get asked at least once a week who does my hair. I have referred 5 people there and they have all loved it as well. I love love love my curly hair and it is because of Claudia.

I got my hair cut with Karen and although it was styled out curly rather than blown straight, the style lasted a few days before I had to wash and re-do. The products were great and she showed me step by step how to use them to replicate it at home. I did a pretty good job myself at home since I decided to buy the same products, but even if I run out as long as I'm using an okay product with the same method of styling it still works out okay. I have received tons of compliments and no more poofed out curls resembling an afro. I'm about to go back tomorrow for another cut style and I'm sure I'll get the same great results if not better!

This is by far the best salon for anyone with curly hair. My daughter is mixed and so is her hair. She has had the ouidad cut done by 3 of the ladies and they have all done a great job. I have recommended this salon to several friends and they too have been very satisfied!

I've been going for years to see Claudia- she is wonderful. I drive 8 hours round trip just to get my hair cut. I've had very hard to manage thick curls and the cut is just a must have because it changed the way I think about my hair. I use to hate my curls and now with the right cut I love them. I use to have impatient hair stylist and bad experiences and this is the first and only place that makes me feel comfortable, they are patient and do a fantastic job. I would recommend anyone with curly hair to go to the salon- you won't be disappointed.

My stylist was Karen - I have always had straight hair until the last few years, and Ive had a difficult time learning how to work with my new curls. I saw an ad in a local magazine about Ouidad at the Styling Hutch. I made an appointment with Karen and have finally found how to manage my curly hair! Karen was wonderful. She took her time with me, helped me find a great cut for my hair, and taught me how to care for my curls. Ive been to a lot of beauty salons that say they specialize in curly hair but none can compare to the Ouidad technique, products, and people at the Styling Hutch they really are different. If your curly hair is out of control, call the Styling Hutch. Its a decision you wont regret.

I drive for over an hour to get to the Styling Hutch. The first time I went I wasn't sure it was going to be worth it but since my last haircut was butchered I decided to give it a try and see if they really did know how to deal with curly hair. They absolutely do! I have always gone straight home after a salon visit because my hair looked awful and I would have to wet it and see if it was going to be ok but after Terry cut and styled my hair it looked so great I went to the mall! So I will continue to drive the distance passing countless other salons on the way to the place where they know what they are doing with my very curly hair.

I recently saw Karen for a haircut. I've got very curly hair and for years, no one has known what to do with it, how to style it and especially how to cut it. From the moment I met her, she put me at ease, asked me detailed questions about what I hoped to achieve and really listened. The end result is a haircut I absolutely adore! My hair feels lighter and bouncier, my styling options increased dramatically, and the overall look is fresh and easy to maintain. Karen took the time to show me, step-by-step, how to maintain both a curly style and a blow out. How wonderful to have options again! I will definitely return to The Styling Hutch. There's no one else I'd ever want to cut or style my hair again except the amazing stylist extraordinaire, Karen.

I brought all three of my daughters in last Saturday. We recently moved here from Colorado and I have been looking for a salon that would cut curly hair. I was so happy when I found The Styling Hutch! All three of my girls looked beautiful! It was very expensive but well worth the money I spent. Kris was great! One of my girls had curly hair and didn't even know it. It was always fluffy but never curly. Kris used PlayCurl Volumizing Foam and she looks like a different girl. The other two have extremely curly hair and with Texas humidity it is curlier and frizzier. Now they have soft beautiful curls. Thanks!

I found The Styling Hutch through Groupon and I am SO GLAD that I did. I had my first appointment with Jennifer a few months ago and had the best experience! Jennifer is WONDERFUL. Throughout my whole life I have never found anyone that could cut my curly hair, now I won't go anywhere else. It is such an amazing feeling to leave a salon and LOVE the way your hair looks. Not only was I extremely happy with the way Jennifer styled my hair, she should me how easy it was to do it myself at home. I have received so many compliments! I definitely recommend the cut and Jennifer to anyone.

I have very kinky curly hair and have gone to many salons and been given many empty promises for a wonderful cut and style. I had given up after many bad cuts. So I found the Styling Hutch and made an appointment, figured I'd give it a try. I was quite skeptical when I went for my first visit, but was pleasantly surprised. My stylist was Karen and she was fantastic! I received any amazing cut and style and education about Ouidad and my hair. She made me excited about my hair again and the tools to wear it down and curly opposed to in a pony tail or bun. I recommend this salon to everyone I meet who has curly hair. As a matter of fact after getting my last cut with her, I went to work and everyone kept complimenting me on my curls. Finding this salon and Karen has been a blessing. Thank you!

Last month was my first visit to the Styling Hutch. My hairdresser was Terry she was great. Terry explained the slicing method that she would be using to trim the frizzy part out of my hair. I was nervous because there was so much hair on the floor, and she took about 2 inches in length, but the ends along with the rest of my hair felt amazing. Terry described everything that she was doing with the product step-by-step. She gave me time to ask questions, also. After my hair was dry and styled, she explained how to take care of it on a daily basis. How to sleep without getting all tangled and how to style it the next morning. This is the first time that I have ever been able to go more than one day without washing me hair. It is awesome! My hair looks better, and it takes so much less time. I highly recommend Terry!

I found this salon online and I was very impressed by the reviews they were given! My whole life I struggled with my curls and would always straighten my hair. My hair of course was being tortured and I was tired of straightening it so I started to embrace my curls and try to handle them the best I could. I had a lot of split ends because of the straightening and I needed to get a cut but I was terrified that I would look like a poodle! But I was pleasantly surprised by the results at the styling hutch! I got it styled and cut for my prom by Kris and have never had so many compliments on my curls! I am proud to say I havent straightened my hair since and LOVE my curls! Kris was so kind and explained the whole process and when I was left to take care of my hair I was fully prepared! I would recommend her any day!

I first had an appointment with Karen a few months ago and had the best experience at the Styling Hutch. I had been using a Deva salon in KC for several years, only getting a hair cut once or twice a year. I had let my hair grow to its limit it had been over a year since my last haircut and I was not going to KC anytime soon. I went to this website and read the reviews about the Styling hutch and decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. I knew going into the cut that the salon was an Ouidad certified salon, and that their carving and slicing method was different than the Deva method, but I was open minded and ready for a change. I was tired of pony tails. Karen is absolutely amazing. It was by far the best haircut Ive ever had. She taught me the Ouidad approach and how to style and use their products. I have received so many compliments on it. I definitely recommend the cut and Karen she is awesome!

I have gone to the Styling Hutch a couple times now and have my next appointment on the books. My curls look amazing and I get compliments on them all the time. Just this week someone stopped me in the grocery store to compliment my curls and ask how I defeated the dreaded frizz. It has been six months since my last hair cut and it still gets compliments! I had Karen's business card, passed it on to my new friend, and told her that the cut is great but the Ouidad products are a must. I no longer reject my curls -- thank you Karen and Ouidad for helping me find my curly headed happiness.

As I have grown older, I truly love my curly hair. But trying to be economical I had gone to cheap salons to get a trim or worse and ask for layers. When I moved back to Texas I was so glad to find the Styling Hutch Salon. I made an appointment and was setup with Kris. She did a fabulous job!! My hair was so heavy and it weighed down my curls. All I was doing was throwing it in a ponytail. The cut she did and the styling techniques she showed me were just awesome. It was almost like a duh moment, because the styling made so much sense for my curly hair. I am so happy with my hair and would definitely recommend this salon to any curly hair girl.

Claudia and the Styling Hutch are the best! I've been going to Claudia for 5 years. It was magic the first time she cut my hair. I'd never seen my hair look defined and not frizzy. I have been going to Dee for 5 years now and she is amazing. My curls are relaxed in the back and tighter in the front and she knows exactly how to style them. I must give Dee a great recommendation here. I made an appointment to see her while visiting my sister. I've had a Ouidad cut before, but needed more education on how to use products and care for my hair. Dee is extremely knowledgeable about curly hair and how to use product and styling techniques to bring out the best in curly hair. She was very patient with my many questions. Also, she did a truly amazing job of color for me. I'm a redhead, not easy to get just right. Dee nailed it! She had a great idea for using 2 different types of color and the color she achieved was just what I remembered my hair used to be. Gorgeous. Go see Dee!

Claudia totally rocks! I've been using Ouidad products 4ever...when Peter WAS Ouidad customer service! I only use Ouidad products on my hair, but finally found The Styling Hutch a year ago...driving two hours to get there! Since I wear my hair both straight and curly, Claudia has improved the color and texture of my hair through fine-tuning product usage and using the carve and slice technique. I learned so many new ways to use Ouidad products through her, and honestly thought I knew it all! Ha! Every salon visit brings me joy as I see others being transformed and embracing their God-given curls for the first time! Sometimes, I even get more enjoyment out of just seeing their transformations, and I always leave the salon happy with my hair! My own mother was a hairstylist for 30 years, and I also worked in her salon as a child.....so I KNOW....Claudia runs an awesome salon with a fabulous staff! Seriously, what are YOU waiting for, Curly-Chickypoo? Also, the atmosphere of the salon is soooo comfortable, and in no way intimidating....for men, for children, for anyone! I think that is what impresses me the most about The Styling Hutch....you can feel the love!

I never knew what a Ouidad haircut was until a friend suggested that I try one since I was always complaining about unruly, curly, frizzy hair. I've had long curly hair for years! Kris is awesome. She has helped me embrace and control my curly hair. I have been straightening and damaging my hair for years because I felt I could not adequately tame my curls. This is not the case anymore. The Ouidad products are amazing. They provide control, yet the hair is still touch ably soft. I recommend Ouidad to all curly haired individuals. Kris gave great instruction on how to maintain my curls for days and achieve the same look at home. Will definitely return, thanks Kris!!

I have fought my curly hair all my life...pulling it out straight with a dryer or trying to style it curly only to end up with frizz. Dee not only gives you a great cut but she teaches you how to style curly hair. I've learned that the less you do, the better it looks. I haven't picked up a hair dryer in years. And I get compliments all the time on my curls. I highly recommend this salon!

In a word, THRILLED!! i have been waiting for at least a year to get the carve and slice haircut. It was worth the wait. I drove 9 hours, from South Louisiana. It was also worth the drive! From the washing of my hair to the finishing spray, I was extremely happy! I have always had curly hair. Seems like no one truly understood what to do with my curls but that has now changed. Will make the trip again in a few months. Terry took the time to explain why the cut makes the difference and the styling tips. I will send family and friends her way!! Thanks Terry and staff!!

Finally, someone who truly understands my wild locks! I've been to many different stylists most of whom thought the best response to my coarse, curly hair was to try to straighten it. I hated spending lots of money just to wind up with a frizzy mess gooped up with sticky product. Terry transformed my hair into soft curls that are easy to maintain.
