I have been using Ouidad products for years but did not make the 2 12 hour trip to Fort Lauderdale until February of 2010. WOW! I could not believe how beautiful my hair looked after Yulia cut and styled it. It was the first time in my 39 years that I did not feel like I had to go home and redo my hair, in fact I did not want to go to bed and mess it up. I am going back tomorrow for my next cut and can't wait. I will never let anyone else cut my hair again it is well worth the drive. Yulia took the time to show me how to style my hair at home, although I still can't get it to look as great as she did, it's pretty close and I love my hair for the first time in my life!
What an incredible experience! If you've ever wondered if a Ouidad cut and style live training will really make a difference, I can assure you that it will! It is truly a custom cut and style for your particular hair and curl pattern. I finally bit the bullet and drove the 4 hours each way from my home to Las Olas. Yulia and the entire staff were fantastic. I'm recruiting girlfriends to make road trips with me every few months, as I will never be able to go back to the old hatchet jobs. Going to the salon to get my hair cut has always been a traumatic experience that I never looked forward to. When you have curly hair in as humid a place as South Florida, it's hard to find a stylist that really KNOWS curly hair. People would always tell me that their stylist was fantastic and then after the stylist would ruin my hair, I would then have to wait for it to grow out again only to find another stylist that would ruin my hair. I had heard that Ouidad certified specialists were the way to go. I did my research and found Las Olas Beauty as well as Yulia. Coming from a curly haired person who always wished her hair could be THAT beautiful, finally got her wish today. If you are looking for a stylist that knows curly hair, RUN to see Yulia. She has my curls looking more gorgeous than I ever thought was possible. She didn't push any products on me, but suggested ones that might be of help. For the first time in my 58 years I embraced my curls. I had the carve and slice done by Yulia and I have to say I have NEVER EVER LOVED my curls more than I do today! I am NO LONGER going to relax my hair and I will continue to get it done this way forever!! Yulia was very experienced and knowledgeable and taught me every step of what she was doing so that I can hopefully duplicate this style. My family loves the new look and asked me to please not ever relax the curls again. I can't stop touching them. And today was in the high 90s in So. Florida and humid and not one frizz! She did a wonderful job and I thank her so much for her expertise. I am definitely a lifelong client! I've always used the product for years but never had the cut until now. And I am SOOOOOOO happy I did. Thanks Yulia for a wonderful haircut!!!
I also don't have any certified salons in my area - and I've now visited Ouidad salons in 3 different states. I was so taken with my first Ouidad cut and style the Styling Hutch in Plano, TX - I actually rented a car and drove from a conference in Fort Worth to get there that I immediately searched for salons in Florida - where I would be traveling for work - and found Las Olas. What a find! I booked appointments for myself and two other curly haired friends one male, one female and Yulia and Adrianna gave us the royal treatment. Not only did we leave looking and feeling great - but we had a great time as well! Las Olas is a great salon - lovely facility, wonderful location and everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't wait to visit again!
It was awesome to finally be able to grow my hair. With this cut I can actually go longer in between cuts. I now love my curly hair.
It's a real treat for me to get a Ouidad cut anywhere because I live so far from a certified salon. Caitlin was the fourth stylist I've had over the years and was, by far, my favorite! With each cut, I always learn a little more about how to manage my curls, but Caitlin spent so much time getting to know what I do with my hair, understanding my lifestyle I'm not going to be able to change that I have recess duty in windy, humid Kansas! and teaching me how to work with it. Additionally, she was so genuine and pleasant to talk with that I felt truly pampered!
