Ouidad: The Curl Experts

Kristie has been a stylist at Elements for seven years and was excited with the opportunity to become Ouidad certified. Since receiving Ouidad's stamp of approval, Kristie's clientele has been thrilled with their curls and her new found knowledge of curl care.

Angela always had a passion for curly hair and after struggling to manage her own curls, she turned to Ouidad. As a Ouidad Certified Stylist, Angela is excited and proud to be able to share her curl knowledge with both her staff and clientele. “Education has always been my inspiration” and with her Ouidad certification she's able to teach everyone the proper care for curls.

Beautiful, educated, happy, confident

My biggest inspiration is:
Angela & Kristie who are also Ouidad certified. I watch their clients come in and then when they leave they look amazing, confident and sometimes they cry tears of joy and hug them. How amazing to make someone that happy.

My favorite thing about curls is:
Everyone wears them in their own unique way; every head of curls is different, fun, playful, etc.

The words I live by are:
Choose a job you LOVE and you will never have to work a day in your life.

What inspired you to be a hairstylist?
Ever since I was young I just loved doing hair and when I was in high school my counselor told me and it stuck!!

My greatest professional accolades or accomplishments are:
Being able to make my clients look and feel their best!

The 3 words that best describe my cutting style are:
Clean, sexy, and modern

When my clients leave the salon I want them to feel:
Beautiful!! Nothing excites more than seeing that smile as I start drying their hair. A haircut that is personalized for their own facial features.

My biggest inspiration is:
Jacque Dessange (my #1) Frederick Fekkai, Nicole Arrojo, anyone who focuses on haircut & face shapes.

My favorite thing about curls is:
They are made to be playful and disheveled. A lot easier to style then, blow drying, flat ironing ect.

The words I live by are:
Soft and Natural when it comes to women's cuts.

What inspired you to be a hairstylist?
When I studied under Dessange Pairs for 8.5 years and I realized how knowing the head shape and understanding the hair type bring a whole new level of being an artists. I love it!

My greatest professional accolades or accomplishments are:
Receiving the highest education from Paris, working on fashion shows, doing hair for reports, models and TV, make over's. Live cuts on stage are my absolute favorite.
