It's Kathleen's belief that if you want to offer the best to your clients, you need to study and learn from the best, and that means…education, Education, EDUCATION!
This passion has led her to attend many advanced educational classes and workshops over the past 30 years of her career including Vidal Sassoon's Advanced School of Hair Cutting in London, and also becoming one of Ouidad's “Curl Experts” in the carve & slice technique of cutting curly hair.
Kathleen's clients are her greatest inspiration! She feels clients with curly hair have unique challenges that require specialized training and understanding. After years of hearing about traumatic experiences, along with utter frustration in trying to control and/or eliminate the FRIZZ; Kathleen felt she had no other option but to go on a research mission to find help for her clients and herself. For years, she straightened, blew dry, and flat ironed gorgeous curls fighting their very DNA. She now wants to teach her clients how to absolutely LOVE & care for their Curls.
Kathleen has been so thrilled to be a part of her clients' journey, teaching them how to embrace and LOVE their curls. She feels Ouidad has made her mission not only possible, but the products and cutting techniques have made it easy for her to teach them “step-by-step” how to make their curls look just as perfect at home too!

Stephanie has always been passionate about hair. She pursued her love for the industry after graduating with honors from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. In her time at 91 South she has built a loyal clientele not only based on her skills in cutting and coloring but because she listens to their wants and needs and is constantly trying to help them understand the best way to work with their hair. Stephanie feels Ouidad has opened a new door to her curly clients. She can now teach them how to love their gift of beautiful curls instead of fighting against them.
Stephanie is also a certified hair extension specialist. Recently 91 South has featured some of her work on their website. She feels she is one of the many fortunate people in this world that can say she loves what she does and she looks forward to going to work every morning.

When my clients leave the salon I want them to feel as if their prayers and questions regarding their hair have been answered. I want them relaxed and relieved that they have just found their answer and have nothing to worry about.
My biggest inspiration is:
My biggest inspiration is my mom. We have been through thick and thin growing up, but my mom always finds a way to give us everything we wanted. She taught me to learn from her mistakes and to never stop until I get what I want out of life.
My favorite thing about curls is:
My favorite things about curls are when cut properly; the curl will pretty much style itself for you. Plus you can achieve every aspect of hair people envy, including myself.

What inspired you to be a hairstylist?
I wanted to be a hair stylist since I was about 5 years old and my mom would take us to the salon to get our hair done. Back then it was all about taking an image and recreating it on a real life person that fascinated me so much. It wasn't until I was older and was dissatisfied by a stylist, that I realized it really takes talent to be a stylist. It wasn't long after practicing on my friends, that I had that talent. I knew from that point on, that this is what I wanted to be.
My greatest professional accolades or accomplishments are:
My greatest professional accomplishments would be when I was the highest producer in the first salon I worked at. This was a franchise salon so our totals and statistics were always compared to everyone else in the whole company, and I was always on top.
